Airline troubles part 2

I was talking about how much the airlines can really mess things up, so im picking up where i left off. After the flight attendant at the gate told us we were going to have to wait until 12:30 for the plane to finish not being broken, another tasty tid bit of information blindsided us. As we waited for the airline to compensate us with 6 dollar meal vouchers (the only food place open at the time was burger king), the same flight attendant announced that we were going to get a new plane. At this we all saw the possibility of hope, of maybe getting to spain around the time we were originally lead to believe. He then told us that because it was a new plane, and that it had to fly in first, our new flight time would be dun dun dun!!! 2:30 AM!!!! At this, you can only imagine the incredulous uproar of me and my fellow passengers. We were told that there was nothing the airline could do, and that we would have to wait. However, after several hours of waiting and sleeping on the floor we were told that the air craft was coming out of Africa and that it needed extra security, and a restock of food. New flight time? 3:30am

sorry about the lateness

Hey all, sorry about being incredibly late with the updates. I havent been abe to get an internet connection where I am and the only way its worked out is by mooching off of other peoples interwebs. OK, where to start? I guess i can start with the flight dilemma on the day i was supposed to take off: On june 29th, my flight was supposed to take off from JFK (NYC) at 7:40pm and arrive in madrid at 9:35 am. They delayed the flight to 8:10, which at that time didnt seem so bad, so we stuck it out. When 8:10 came around they herded us onto the aircraft (767), as we placed our carry on in their designated places and sat down to prepare for take-off we heard a mysterious voice telling us we'll be delayed an hour and that we should just sit tight. Well, they kept us on the plane for about 45 minutes before they told us to gather our belongings and wait back at the gate. Everyone seemed somewhat peeved at the idea of almost gng and maning etting to fly and then getting shot down (figuratively). As we all walked back to the gate, we heard one of the flight attendant personnel get on a loud speaker and say that because there is a problem with the plane, the plane will have to switch out a part and then run diagnostics. He then went on to tell us that the rescheduled flight time was 12:30 am. Among the bitching and moaning reverberating among the other passengers, i could only drop my head an sigh because well, who can expect anything less from the airline company these days?

A more detailed look at Espana

Figured I'd post something

I figured I'd post something before I completely forgot about this and it becomes another idle blog. I'll be leaving at 7:30 pm from JFK airport in NYC and landing at Madrid airport at about 9:35 am. I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to an 8 hr flight with a bunch of people who are probably going to be about as irritated as I am after having to wait on line for a couple of hours. I'm sure its not going to be as bad as I think its going to be. 'Til next post....
